In 2001, filmmakers and brothers Gedeon and Jules Naudet were filming a documentary about a young “probie” joining the ranks of a company of firefighters in Lower Manhattan. The brothers never expected they would end up documenting the destruction and heroism that followed the 9/11 terrorist attacks. In this clip, from an interview filmed in March 2002, the Naudets are joined by firefighter and fellow director James Hanlon to recount their experiences of that harrowing day.
